Meghan Gallagher is a Los Angeles and London based artist and designer who specializes in creating ceramic works that are both functional and sculptural. Grounded in her fascination with the complexities of femininity, geometry in nature, optical illusion, and brutalist architecture, she creates forms that are at once ancient and modern, hard and soft.

Using hand-building techniques Meghan’s pieces mimic those of fossils, artifacts, and portals. Her work is a meditation on the passage of time and the relationship between nature and modern life.

Meghan's journey as an artist passes through New York City, where she spent the early part of her life, Southern California and London where she studied photography & film, and Los Angeles where she worked as a stills and video producer for 15 years. Each location and experience has contributed to her visual vocabulary and shaped the design aesthetic you see in her work.
